“But you, man of God, flee from all this, and pursue righteousness, godliness, faith, love, endurance and gentleness”
1 Timothy 6:11 (NIV)
To truly flee from sin, we must pursue what is good.
We don’t run away into nothing, rather we are to pursue the life God has for us.
Christianity is not a message of “just stop it”, rather it is the message of “just start living”.
Just start living the life God has provided for us in Christ.
Just start living in righteousness - the righteousness described by Christ in His Sermon.
Just start living a godly life - doing what God would do if he were in your shoes
Just start living your life by faith - looking for opportunities to grow your faith.
Just start living a life of love- practical love that puts other’s needs in front of mine.
Just start living the life that lasts – prepare yourself to never give up no matter what
Just start living a life of gentleness – YES we can become gentle – for our Saviour is gentle
This life is waiting for us- if we would pursue it.
