Psalm 23

"For the Lamb at the center of the throne will be their shepherd; he will lead them to springs of living water. And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes.”
{Revelation 7:17} (NIV 1984)

The Lamb is the Good Shepherd. He laid His life down for the sheep. He alone is worthy. He is in the centre of God’s throne, the throne that rules heaven and earth and He will lead His sheep (His people) to springs of living water. These people have come out of tribulation, persecution, distress, hardship. Many tears have been shed, many prayers and groans have been uttered.
Are these springs the still waters of Psalm 23? Are they 'beside the green pastures' that the Shepherd has made us lie down in? Oh friend! Know this: that the trouble we have on this earth is but for a time. Our Shepherd had trouble and distress, greater than we will ever know. He understands what you are going through, though no one else does. Surely goodness and mercy shall follow you and you will dwell in His house, with Him, forever and ever. Amen
