Nov 8, 2017- Suggested Reading Psalm 119:89-104

“Your word, Lord, is eternal; it stands firm in the heavens.”

God has placed eternity in our hearts but we can’t get our heads around it. We can define the word- without beginning or end- but we don’t understand it, we haven’t experienced it because we are finite. The blessing of putting our faith in the Lord Jesus is eternal life, (His life enters us) and yet we must walk thru death before we truly experience the fullness of His gift to us. So to state that God’s Word is eternal is an act of faith, and is proved to be true faith when we delight in His Word, when we expect that He will be faithful to His Word, when we love His Word, meditate on His Word, obey His Word, walk in His Word, even taste His Word- and especially if we hate every wrong path. This last statement of the psalmist cuts me to the heart- “prone to wander Lord I feel it, prone to leave the One I love” Heavenly Father please increase my faith, may I see Your Word as eternal.
