Luke 10:17-24

"At that time, Jesus, full of joy through the Holy Spirit, said, “I praise you, Father, Lord of heaven and earth, because you have hidden these things from the wise and learned, and revealed them to little children. Yes, Father, for this was your good pleasure."

Oh to be full of joy through the Holy Spirit! Friend, what is your state today? What troubles are around you? What enemies are attacking? Are you weary, weak or afraid? Would you like to be full of joy through the Holy Spirit? Then ponder and meditate on the truth that our Lord was meditating on. God’s plan was to reveal Christ and His glory to little children. He hid the truths of Christ from the wise and learned, the deserving of humans, and revealed these blessed truths to little children. The weakest, the foolish, the ones who have not accomplished anything in their lives. Yes, Father, this was your good pleasure.  

God chose you; He opened your eyes. He showed you your need; He showed you your Saviour. He blessed you with what kings and prophets longed to see! Yes, Father...Yes, Father, blessed be your Name. Praise God who loved us and placed His Love in our hearts. Praise God for His pleasure was to save us! Oh friend, these other issues are temporary, but our relationship to Christ is forever. May we be filled with the joy of the Holy Spirit as we meditate on this truth today.
