"For no matter how many promises God has made,
they are “Yes” in Christ. And so through him the “Amen” is spoken by us to the
glory of God."

What a
truth for us to get a hold of! How many promises has God made? How many people
has He made them to? How many times does the Bible record God promising people
salvation, joy, family, land, peace, love, acceptance, life, prosperity,
victory, strength, wisdom? Friend, know this blessed truth: every one of those
promises are “Yes in Christ”, and because we are “in Christ” they are yes to
us! 'Yes' says, they are for me; 'amen' says, let it be. This is our position in
Christ. We are joined in spiritual union to the blessed Son of God, who pleased
His Father, living in perfect obedience to His Law and His Will. We share in
His life now, we have entered His kingdom, or it has entered us. We look
forward to the Day when this age will pass away and all will be made new. We
have a deposit from God, the Holy Spirit within us, testifying that we
are in Christ. Does this not warm our hearts? To think that all of the promises
made to people we don’t even know, are also ours in Christ. Praise God for His great
salvation through His Son, and for His precious gift to us, the blessed Holy
Spirit.
