“To him who is able to keep you from stumbling and to present you before his glorious presence without fault and with great joy—”

Jude 1:24 (NIV)

God is a God of joy

We know this because of what the Bible teaches us about angels in his presence;

the morning stars sang together and all the angels shouted for joy (Job 38:7)

You have come to thousands upon thousands of angels in joyful assembly (Hebrews 12:22)

We know this because of what the Bible teaches us about wisdom in his presence;

I was filled with delight day after day, rejoicing always in his presence, (Proverbs 8:30)

We know this because of what the Bible teaches us about people on earth in his presence;

They ate and drank with great joy in the presence of the Lord that day. (1 Chron 29:22)

for all the joy we have in the presence of our God because of you? (1 Thess 3:9)

We know this because of what the Bible teaches us about people in heaven in his presence;

You make known to me the path of life; you will fill me with joy in your presence (Psalm 16:11)

to present you before his glorious presence without fault and with great joy (Jude 1:24)

Jude is a short book, not very long at all, and Jude is a dark book, full of dangers, pain and warnings, but my does it end with JOY! So are our Christian lives- they are short, full of dangers and pain, and yet end with great JOY! Friend - believe that the God who snatched you from the evil one, is able to keep you and present you with great joy! And believe that these loved ones who have left this world in great suffering and pain are now in His glorious Presence, with great JOY!
