“LORD, I love the house where you live, the place where your glory dwells.”
Psalm 26:8 (NIV)
You cannot separate God from His glory.
Where God is – there His glory is too.
Notice that David won’t assemble with the deceitful, the hypocrites, the evildoers or the wicked. Instead, David washes his hands, hangs around the altar, praises God, and testifies about God’s work. There is a description of church! The great congregation of God!
The house of God!
Not the building but the people.
Not the altar but the LORD.
Not my love but Your unfailing love.
Not my faithfulness but Your faithfulness.
LORD I love Parkdale where You live, the place where Your glory dwells.
