“Devote yourselves to prayer, being watchful and thankful. 3 And pray for us, too,…”

Colossians 4:2 (NIV)

These verses are Parkdale’s theme verses for the 2018 ministry year. We seem to be poised at the edge of tremendous opportunity to see God’s kingdom grow in this city called Belleville. 

What do we need in order to see God’s good plans for Parkdale become reality? 

Do we need people to serve? 

Do we need people to give? 

Absolutely we need both those things! 

But over and before and through all of 2018 we need prayer. 

We need people who are devoted to prayer, watchful prayer, thankful prayer. 

We need the people of Parkdale to pray to God, asking Him to open a door for the gospel to go out in the Prince Charles neighbourhood. 

We need to pray that those who are GOING from Parkdale to speak into people’s lives in that community – speak clearly, wisely, full of grace with a pinch of salt.

We NEED God to do His work, in us and in them.

Our Lord asks us to pray. Our apostle asks us to pray.
How about we decide today to “devote ourselves to prayer” in 2018.
