Matthew 6:5-15

  

“No misfortune is seen in Jacob, no misery observed in Israel. 

The LORD their God is with them; the shout of the King is among them."

{Numbers 23:21}  (NIV1984)

King of Kings, Lord of Lords, our God is the great King! Let us never forget, when He is among us in power, nothing can harm us. When His will is being done by His people, when He sits on the thrones of their hearts, when they trust Him and obey Him, the shout of their King is among them. 

These people that Balaam observed were better than their parents, who would not trust God enough to go into the land by faith. These people were on their way, marching together to the destination that God had promised, trusting in His glorious Presence to deliver them. Their enemies trembled in fear as they saw that the great King was among them. 

What we need in our lives more than anything else is that God be King in our hearts. It is what our families need, it is what our cities need, it is what our country needs, and it is what the world needs! We need people who have the Holy Spirit in them, and who each day kneel and plead with God that His will be done, and that His kingdom would come. May we pray today and each day, “ Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name, your kingdom come your will be done..”
