"O Israel, put your
hope in the Lord for with the Lord is unfailing love and with him is full
redemption. He himself will redeem Israel from all their sins."
{Psalm 130:7,8} (NIV1984)
The writer
of this psalm, speaks of his deep desire to see the LORD act and forgive. He
yearns to see it more than a night watchman yearns to see the sun rise in the
morning.
Friend, we live in the full light of the morning! The LORD has come;
He has acted and He has provided redemption. The radiance of God’s glory,
the exact representation of His being (Heb 1:3) has come. We have seen
His glory, the glory of the One and Only (Jn 1:14).
Friend, we live in the
Day of Salvation, the age of grace, the age of the Spirit. We are blessed
beyond measure to be born in the time, where we do not have to wait to see God
act! No, we can go NOW to the throne of grace! We can go and seek
forgiveness at the cross of Christ! We can find forgiveness! We can find
cleansing! We can live in the light of what these holy people yearned to see.
We can live in the power of the redemption provided by the God of unfailing
love, through the blood of His Holy Son! Praise His Holy Name! Love has come
for us all!
