“Our mouths were filled with laughter,

Can you remember a time when your mouth was filled with laughter and your tongue
with a song of joy?

I think of children at Christmas, so excited their mouths are full of laughter and giggles and their tongues- oh their tongues - are full of joy!
I hope you can think of a time that this was true of you- perhaps a day long ago -

Now friend which one of those times that you remember were caused by what God had done for you? Not that you imagine God has done it, but that the people around you, especially the unbelievers say of you – “God has done something great for them.”
If we can think of that time, that special time when the Creator of heaven and earth reached down and did something for us, then friend we will have entered into the spirit of this wonderful Psalm.
