Ephesians 1

"For he chose us in him before the creation of the world to be holy and blameless in his sight. In love, he predestined us to be adopted as his sons through Jesus Christ, in accordance with his pleasure and will— to the praise of his glorious grace, which he has freely given us in the One he loves."
{Ephesians 1:4-6} (NIV 1984)

In this amazing passage we learn that not only did the LORD make all of creation in such a way to reveal Himself, but that our salvation through Jesus Christ was designed to reveal His glorious grace. This chapter is all about praising God for His grace, for His goodness, for His strength, and for His power. His character is revealed through His dealings with the redeemed! He has a plan to reveal who He is! That plan is salvation of all who put their faith and trust in His Son, our Lord Jesus Christ. The purpose of the church is to bring praise and glory to the Lord, to reveal the true nature of God.

In salvation through Christ, God has revealed the radiance of His glory. He has revealed His great, great love, His incomparable strength, His wondrous forgiveness, His inconceivable wisdom and the richness of His grace. He set His eyes on people who deserved death; bought us, sought us, and saved us. He keeps us by His power and seals us by His Spirit, all to the praise of His glory. May we know this God! May we praise this God! May He be revealed to those around us through our lives today. May the fullness of Christ fill us in every way.
