1 Chronicles 16:7-13

"Give thanks to the Lord, call on His name; make known among the nations what He has done."
{1 Chronicles 16:8} NIV 1984

David's psalm of thanksgiving begins with verbs. Things that we should do! Give thanks, call on, make known, sing to, sing praise, tell of, glory in, look to, rejoice, seek, remember. Oh friend, are we not descendants of Israel by faith? Are we not the chosen ones of God? Yes we are! So the action words of this psalm are for us.

Thank Him this morning; call on His name. Tell people in the world (not church people) what He has done for you. Sing a song to Him right now. Be proud of Him and bear His Name with pride. Allow your heart to be filled with joy from the Holy Spirit. Ask Him for the help you need for the day before you. Decide right now, that in everything (in everything!), in everything that you do today you will seek His face, and His blessing upon you.

Finally, cause your mind to remember the things He has done for you, the things He has done for His church, and the things He has done for the world. Thank Him, the one true God, our God!
